✓ A documented native mobile route matters now.
— A plain web dashboard may not need native distribution.
Compare the web and mobile workflow requirements
For a mobile-app requirement, investigate Bolt’s documented Expo route before assuming Overskill can publish the same result today. Overskill’s pricing page labels native mobile publishing as coming soon. Bolt’s introduction describes JavaScript-based full-stack web applications and an Expo integration for mobile apps. Those statements establish different documented paths, not a benchmark or a guarantee of app-store approval. A responsive website is also not automatically a native application installed through a store.
Use a mobile-specific acceptance brief
Write down whether your user needs a browser link, home-screen installation or a store-distributed app. Then list the device features that make that choice necessary: a camera workflow, offline use or notifications, for example. Mark those as requirements to verify rather than capabilities both products are assumed to have. A fictional appointment viewer is a useful comparison task because it can expose small-screen layout, date handling and sign-in without requiring a real payment or customer record.
Keep the web comparison fair
If your actual requirement is a web dashboard, do not let the mobile label decide the purchase. Compare the same saved record, edit action and export task. Ask how a future maintainer would inspect the code and dependencies, and include any external service configuration in the evaluation. Product documentation describes a starting point; it does not show whether your generated project will survive an interrupted save or a later requirements change. Keep those questions separate from visual taste.
Make the lowest-commitment useful choice
Select the tool that can demonstrate your required distribution path with the least unsupported assumption. If a plain web app solves the problem, keep native publication out of the first release instead of paying for complexity you cannot justify. If store distribution is essential, verify the current supported workflow and developer-account obligations before committing. We have not built or published an app with either service in this comparison, so all performance and completion-time claims remain unmeasured.
What this comparison can—and cannot—settle
This guide draws on Overskill current pricing, Overskill product page, Bolt web and Expo mobile introduction. Merchant-controlled records describe the provider’s own capabilities, terms or standards; they do not independently validate those claims. These records do not establish independent confirmation of the product claims.
Verify any current price, plan limit, label direction, compatibility rule, or commercial term that would materially change the decision. The dated source ledger shows the underlying records so this conclusion can be checked and updated.
